Leah Hartman, Music Program Director

We’re getting off to a great start this fall in the music department. New singers are wanted for choir rehearsals, Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m.  Our September repertoire includes warm, Romantic-era music from German composer Felix Mendelssohn, evoking “peace in our time," as well as music from a variety of styles and time periods.  All lovers of great music are welcome to join us - no prior experience or music-reading skills are necessary.

If you’re interested in learning to play handbells, the Goodwood Ringers will have their first meeting on September 2 at 5:30 pm. Playing handbells is like a cross between a team sport and playing a musical instrument, except that the instrument you play is not the bell, it’s your body. Are you up for the challenge? Email music.office@unitarianchurchbr.com, and we’ll set you up with Sally Wood, the director.

If you have an event or special person in your life that you’d like to recognize by contributing flowers to the Sunday services, please sign up at the table in the fellowship hall. There are openings for dates beginning in October.
