Choir Director Trey Davis
Dr. Trey Davis is Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Choral Studies at LSU, where he continues his duties when he’s not working with musicians at UCBR. He holds a doctorate in choral conducting from Texas Tech University and a Master of Music in choral conducting from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, NJ. As an undergraduate, he specialized in accompanying and vocal performance (he's a tenor) at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. At LSU, he conducts the Women's Chorale and Tiger Glee Club and teaches courses in literature and conducting to graduate and undergraduate students.
Music Program Director Leah Hartman
Leah has been playing piano for churches for 25 years, and for choirs for nearly 20. She has degrees in piano performance and musicology from the University of Tulsa and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She's been a guitar player for 15 years and has also been learning to play the banjo recently. She plays keyboards in Baton Rouge for schools, soloists, and regional musical theater companies, as well as working with our church choir.
Gospel Choir Director Marie Flowers
Marie Flowers is a singer, composer, and currently a teacher in the gifted and talented music program with the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. Marie received her Master of Music and Bachelor of Music from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, followed by further study at Arizona State University and Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Marie also sings with the Heart Voice Trio, UUCBR’s vocal trio-in-residence.
