Here is our program for 2016-2017:
Little Sundays of Surprises (Ages 3 - Grade K)
The Rainbow Connection: This new curriculum is an introduction to the seven UU Principles for our Pre-K children.
Big Sundays of Surprises (Grades 1-6)
What Connects Us? This curriculum celebrates important ways Unitarian Universalists live our faith in covenanted community. The children explore their own knowing, feeling and imagining about issues of peace and justice and explore how to promote peace and justice within themselves.
Sparks/Flames (Age 3-Grade 1)
Wonderful Welcome:This curriculumwill helpyoungchildren identify and share the intangible gifts central to Unitarian Universalism such as friendship, hospitality and fairness.
Stories About God: This story-based curriculum will present God as something that can take many forms: a oneness, love and worth, and a mystery.
Blazes (Grades 2-3)
Super Heroes - Bible People: This new curriculum introduces stories of people from the Bible who have acted with courage and wisdom, such as Moses, King David. King Solomon, Mary and Joseph, Jesus and John the Baptist, Joseph, Queen Esther.
Mysteries (Grades 4-5)
Harry and UU: This is a new social action curriculum based on J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series.
Questioners Middle Youth (Grades 6-7)
Riddle and Mystery: The purpose of the Riddle and Mystery curriculum is to assist Middle Youth in their own search for understanding. It asks questions such as: Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going? Does God exist? What happens when you die? What does Unitarian Universalism mean to me?
Traditions with a Wink: This curriculum teaches our Unitarian Universalist story in fun ways.
Passages Coming of Age Class (Grade 8)
The Passages - Coming of Age program addresses changes in youth’s spiritual and faith development, and to grow more confident in their beliefs and deeper in their Unitarian Universalist faith.
Seekers Senior Youth (Grades 9-12)
Neighboring Faiths: This program introduces youth to faith traditions within the larger community and actively engages them in exploring the ritual practices of other religious groups.
