At our meeting on June 23, we resolved to submit to the board a resolution for the church to take a position opposing the incorporation of St. George as a separate city. If they approve, it will then go to the congregation for a vote. Stay tuned for details!

Together Baton Rouge conducted a Civic Academy on Criminal Justice and Police Reform for our church on May 16. 43 people attended.

A highlight this month will be a Together Baton Rouge Civic Academy on Criminal Justice Reform, to be held Thursday, May 16, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Our shared offering for the month of February is UCBR Days for Girls (UCBR DfG), a grassroots nonprofit creating a more dignified, humane and sustainable world for girls through advocacy, reproductive health awareness, education and sustainable feminine hygiene.

Our shared offering for the month of January is Dialogue on Race, a dialogue that provides a safe space for honest discussion on the issue of racism. It's an important step in a journey toward enlightenment, understanding and the elimination of racism from our society.

Our shared offering for the month of December is the Holy Grill of the Interfaith Federation. Monday through Thursday, hot, nutritious lunches are prepared at the Interfaith Federation office by Tonia Causey, transported to Cadillac St.
