Ways to Show Up for Your Church
Would you like to fulfill the 2016-17 church theme by showing up for your church? There are many ways to donate your time.
Would you like to help run the sound booth during Sunday services? We're looking for a few new sound techs. You'll receive training and help as you learn how the microphones work, and how to adjust the levels of the sound system. If you're interested, or want more information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org, or email@example.com.
We're also looking for new ushers. If you'd like to get involved with helping to welcome people into the church in this low-key position, please contact Kristie Boudreaux firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. We also have openings for flowers in the final months of 2016. If you have a special person or event to commemorate, consider donating flowers for Sunday services. To sign up, inquire at the Congregational Care table in the fellowship hall between services.
Our Buildings and Ground volunteers are overextended in accomplishing the many small tasks with which every homeowner is probably familiar. Taken all together they can seem endless, but separately they don't seem so large. For example: Changing light bulbs; watering plants; cutting down small tree limbs and ground level weeds; maintaining the playground area; pressure washing exteriors; touch-up painting; minor furniture moves; carpet and furniture stain removal; patching ceiling cracks from water leaks. If you would be willing to assist in accomplishing a few of these tasks around our Unitarian Church Home, please contact our Office Manager Allison Hall who is Building and Grounds Central at 926-2291, Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
Dish washer & Dish dryer persons are always needed after the close of the Fellowship time following the second worship service. While you enjoy the coffee and the snacks, please remember that the pots and trays, etc. must be cleaned and put away for the next time. Drop by the kitchen and experienced persons will show you the routine. Thanks.
